Horseback rides for beginners and experienced riders

1 hour of blissful Tuscan sceneries to experience on horseback: this is an easy horse trek across the green hills of Montaione within the 200-hectares of the resort’s estate.

Low difficulty route suitable for everyone, even for first-time riders. If you have never been, don’t worry, before the ride you will be accompanied by one of our instructors who will be able to give you the information you need to be able to manage your horse independently during the ride.
(Horseback rides are available for ages 14 and up)

(1 hour horse ride available for 14 year olds and above with an evaluation of the instructor)

Do you ever dream of exploring the Tuscan countryside, galloping along the trails around San Gimignano and Volterra? Come and choose your dream trek at Riding Tuscany horse riding centre in Montaione. We offer various options to suit your time and expertise. Every horse riding trek is led by one or two guides for your comfort and safety.

1-hour trek: a simple and pleasant ride around the riding school on the crests of the Montaione hills. Also suitable for first-time riders from 14 years old.

1 and a half-hour trek in the forest: Trekking on the hills around the riding school. A pleasant horseback excursion, where you might even spot some wonderful wildlife (birds such as herons and pheasants, hares, roe deer and wild boars). Tour suitable for experts and from 14 years old.

2-hour trek across the hills: Trekking on the hills of Peccioli. You will cross a stream and you will be able to spot the local wildlife. Tour suitable for experts from 14 years old and for those who are used to being on horseback for a long time

2-hour trek suitable for experienced riders, able to manage the horse independently and accustomed to long horseback riding on gravel roads, on a route starting from Belmonte Vacanze farmhouse and crossing the surrounding hills.

1-hour trek including a tasting with typical tuscan products 60€ per person

1-hour ride suitable for beginner riders who are unable to handle the horse independently, on a route starting from Belmonte Vacanze farmhouse that crosses the surrounding hills. The trek ends with a tasting of typical Tuscan products accompanied by an excellent glass of red wine. Available for a minimum of 2 people, subject to restaurant availability.
